Paved with Production: Road to Core dApp Testnet

For several months now, the Alephium frontend and backend teams don dey execute the most crucial phase of their development: that na building the Core dApp and e integrated staking solution from scratch.
Wetin dem dey build na strategic, protocol-owned beacon wey go demonstrate the full power, security, and even scalability of the Alephium L1. Something this important go normally take time and patience as the team must get am right on the first try so dem go utilize the opporunity well well.
The launch date for Testnet never come yet sha, but before we go announce that one, make we first show you the “how” so you go understand better.
This article go show you the technical foundation, both frontend and backend, wey the Alephium team don do so far. Everything wey we go talk for this article so na important steps wey go make sure say when the Core dApp go live everything go set. So make we dive in!
Full Recap, Phase 2: Aligned Economics
This Core dApp so don dey come small small and e go mark a very big transition into strategic economic alignment (Phase Two) when dem go build ontop a very solid foundation (Phase One).
In case you no know wetin Phase One be, this one na for you.
Phase One: The Secure and Scalable Foundation
Since Alephium start to build, dem dey focus on one thing; to deliver a scalable, secure, and easy-to-use Proof-of-work infrastructure. Dem build am so that we no go worry about slow speed, hacks, or even centralized controls. Very blast team!
Along the way sha, dem build:
Native Sharding: This one na from day 1.
The Danube Upgrade: For Next-gen performance without zk or Layer 2 complexity. No need for too many many complications.
The sUTXO Model: This one na security-first smart contracts wey go prevent re-entry and exploits at the VM level.
UX as a protocol Primitive: Alephium team build this one so we go gwt DevX improvements, and fast confirmations for our transactions.
New Deflationary Features: Dem go burn 100% of the blocks’ transaction fees so that $ALPH coins supply go dey reduce small small.
PoLW (Proof-of-Less-Work) go really deepen this alignment sha. How? by tightening supply as network security dey increase.
Phase Two: Activating the Aligned Ecosystem Loop
As the infrastructure for this Phase don set so, Phase Two go allow the Alephium team to fill in the missing pieces so that by the time dem combine Phase One and Phase Two everywhere go truly sharp.
The Core dApp: Initially, the Core dApp go launch as CLMM DEX. E go deliver a protocol-owned, open-source benchmark to secure liquidity for the network. E go also generate fees wey go later dey distributed to Liquidity Providers, those wey stake $ALPH, and dem go use the remaining fees to buyback and buy $ALPH.
Staked $ALPH: Those of una wey wan stake $ALPH, Good news dey for you! Staking $ALPH go make you eligible for fee sharing from the Core dApp. Not only that, but you go still get governance rights, and composability for generating additional yield. Sharp ba?

- Aligned Loop: This entire thing so when i don dey talk since, all of them connect o. Everything go drive more people to use the Core dApp, wey go lead to more protocol fees, wey go come lead to more deflation (token burn)/distribution. E go still lead to more staking and governance. All these things so dey very good for $ALPH growth for a long time.

The work detailed below na the developers’ execution of the strategy above to make sure say the Core dApp no loose guard us wen e finally launch.
Core dApp Progress Milestones (Completed Work)
This list so na the full production history of key frontend and backend achievements wen the team don do to this point as Core dApp Testnet dey come.
Backend and Smart Contract Progress
DEX Contracts
Them don implement the fully functional CLMM DEX in Ralph.
Support multi-hop swapping in CLMM.
Support referral system in the CLMM and CPMM contracts don ready too.
Them don rigorously test and fixed issues across the main user flows.
Staking Contracts
Implemented the core staking contracts.
Them also don implement example fee-sharing and governance contracts so that we fit see how to integrate staking contracts.
SDK
Funtionality to integrate with CLMM DEX don dey.
Functionality to integrate with CPMM DEX don also dey.
Even functionality to integrate with staking contracts don set.
Backend & Frontend
The team don implement the basic frontend for CLMM & CPMM DEXes, and staking contracts wey go support core functions such as creating pools, adding liquidituy, swapping, staking, and so on.
Them also don implement the backend wey go dey necessary to support the development of the frontend.
Frontend and Design Progress
Design & User Experience (UX) Foundation.
Ongoing wireframe and mockup design.
Performed deep dives into competitor analysis (especially CLMMs).
Finished the design for the New Position screen.
Started designing the Pools screen interface.
Explored and experimented with new modal layout ideas.
Component Building
Exported bridge code into a reusable widget to integrate into the Core dApp.
Continued intensive front-end design work, with numerous screens and components built in parallel.
Live Roadmap, Now Live!
As we don dey approach Testnet so e dey important to show una the new Roadmap for the Core dApp. This sharp move na to make sure say the Alephium team dey transparent with una.

You fit visit https://www.alephium.org/roadmap make you fit see the history of Alephium upgrades, roadmap highlights, and see wetin developers dey work on as we dey prepare for Testnet.
To burst your head pass, e still get a Live Roadmap Dashboard. The Alephium developers don build this one to cover marketing, ecosystem dApps, and more so that we go get full transparency and accountability.
One Final Point to Leave You With
This upcoming testnet go launch as a testing ground so that we fit try the smart contracts and backend to see how dem dey work. No be finished product o! But you’ll love it! During the whole testnet sha, we go use temporary front-end then the correct UI/UX wey we love go dey available once Core dApp enter Mainnet!
No forget to follow Alephium on X so you no go miss anything o!
